Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the format of the tournament?
A: A 3-round Single Round Robin Group Phase will seed a Single Elimination Bracket. The Single Round Robin Group phase will consist of 3, Best of 3 series. The Single Elimination bracket will be composed of Best of 3 series from the 1st round through the Quarter-Final. The Semi-Final and Final will be Best of 5 series.
Q: What is included in the cost of my ticket?
A: Every team is guaranteed to play at least 4 rounds meaning the earliest a team can be eliminated from the tournament is by ~ 4pm after Round 1 of the single elimination bracket.

Pizza and a fountain drink are included in the price, as well.

Once you’ve been eliminated from the tournament you’ll have to free-up your station for Ignite’s walk-in customers. You’re welcome to stay and watch the remaining matches and to reserve game time from Ignite to play games with friends.
Q: What do I need to bring with me?
A: Your controller and a USB cable (Mouse and Keyboard players will have those provided). Ignite has everything else that you need to participate (see below for specifics). Make sure you show up on time so you can get setup for your matches.
Q: Are the monitors 144Hz?
A: Yes! Every PC station has a new 27-inch Asus 144Hz monitor.
Q: What controllers are approved for me to bring? How do I set it up at Ignite?
A: Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox One Elite and DualShock 4 controllers are approved. You’re required to flag down a crew member from Ignite’s tech team to both CONNECT and DISCONNECT your controller from the PC.

Xbox One Elite Controller Note: You MUST have configurations saved to the controller BEFORE arriving at the event as there will be no access to the Xbox Elite Accessories customization software at the venue.

PS4 Controller Note: PS4 controllers must be plugged into the system BEFORE launching Rocket League. Once the controller has been connected you SHOULD NOT touch any button or analog stick of the Ignite-provided Xbox 360 controllers. Doing so will give the Xbox 360 controller priority and disable your PS4 Controller until the game is relaunched.
Q: What are the specs of the PCs? What peripherals are provided at every station?
A: Every PC has an 8th generation i5 3.5ghz CPU, 16gb ddr4 RAM @ 2400 mhz, GTX 1070 GPU, Asus 144hz monitor, SteelSeries Apex keyboard, SteelSeries Rival mouse, SteelSeries Arctis 5 Headset and DXRacer seating.
Q: Will I have time to warm-up before the tournament begins?
A: During check-in from 9:30am-10am PCs will be made available for warm-up. Note, this is first-come, first-served as there won’t be enough PCs to accommodate everyone warming-up simultaneously.
Q: I play Rocket League on console. Can I still join the tournament?
A: Yes, Ignite has Rocket League installed on their PCs. You DO NOT need to own Rocket League on PC to play in the tournament. Please write down or take a photo of your camera/controller settings so you can quickly get setup before your matches.
Q: Can I use my own Steam account so I can play with DLC cars & items on my account? What about 2-Factor Authentication (2FA)?
A: Yes! You’ll have the option to log-in to your steam account to have access to vehicles/items in your inventory. 2FA works with Ignite’s system, so be ready to use your login code when setting up for your match.
Q: When does the pizza arrive?
A: 2:00pm
Q: Can spectators come?
A: Yes, spectators are welcome to watch, though space will be limited. Ignite has an awesome atmosphere with great food and drinks to enjoy while tournament games are going on. Menu
