Mad City Rocket League 2018 Roadmap, Part I

We’re excited to reveal the first part of our plans for Rocket League in the new year. It was a blast hosting events and meeting players from across the midwest in 2017. We hope to continue to grow the competitive Rocket League community by providing more opportunities for aspiring pros to play at LAN events!

$1,000 Rocket League Showcase (2v2 NON-BYOC)

Mad City and N3rd Street Gamers have teamed up to bring 2 great events to the Chicagoland area, the first of which is a $1000 2v2 tournament taking place at Ignite Gaming Lounge in Chicago!

We kick off the new year with a N3rd Street Gamers Academy event intended to help you sharpen your skills. You’ll have an awesome in-game experience on Ignite’s all new 27″ 144Hz monitors & upgraded PCs powered by GTX 1070s!

The winning team of this event not only takes home the lion’s share of the prize pool but also receives free admission to our first Rocket League Major, the $5,000 CHI Rocket League Open!

This event runs Saturday & Sunday, March 10th-11th at the MegaCenter at Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles, Illinois. Teams at this BYOC LAN will be playing for a $1,000 prize pool.

Gamers for Giving – Rocket League (2v2 BYOC)

We’re also proud to announce we have partnered with Gamers for Giving this year to host a 2v2 Rocket League event at this year’s BYOC LAN party!

Our first Rocket League event in Michigan will take place Saturday & Sunday April 28-29th at the Eastern Michigan University Convocation Center as Gamers for Giving celebrate it’s 10 year anniversary!

Gamers for Giving is an annual LAN party, competitive gaming & streaming marathon event that helps generate support for Gamers Outreach charity programs. These programs focus on providing entertainment devices to children in hospitals.

All 700 tickets to the Gamers for Giving BYOC LAN have already sold out (in a record 2 hours!), so the tournament is open to those already holding tickets!
